duning

An abbreviation for dyno-tunning popular among duners and executed by chiptuners.
It is a form of engine calibration where only first 10 seconds of maximum engine load matters. Such a calibration is utterly useless in real life because engine overheats in about 30 seconds and ECU starts to limit power output.
Commercial chiptuning is driven by automotive philosophy "HP sells cars - boost sells turbochargers."
